  • Luis Ricardo says: iPhone - You'd better go now!
So, from tomorrow iPhone is available in Japan.

If you are planning to buy it, you'd better hurry 'cause there's a long long line of people "camping" outside the Softbank Store in Omotesando. Apparently the most hardcore ones have been there since yesterday.
I took a walk today around there and the queue continues through Omotesando street towards Harajuku Station, and then it continues after the bridge towards the Gimnasium.

    Just F.Y.I.

Anybody getting the iPhone first thing tomorrow?

Still thinking if i should, switching phones is such a hassle and the rumored pricing seems expensive if you add unlimited net/data access.

I can probably stop by a Softbank shop in the afternoon so if there are phones left, if the waiting time isn't too long and if the heavens present the optimal conditions to get it, then maybe I will :)

  • usaeuropa says: New iPhone for seniors!
While it is well known that the iPod and iPhone are extremely popular among younger generations, seniors have yet to adopt some of Apple's wonderful and innovative products in the same way. While Apple products are usually renowned for their creative and intuitive interfaces, seniors have struggled to adapt to the these interfaces. In consideration of the needs of this senior population Apple has developed a new iPhone integrating an interface which it hopes will be more familiar to older generations, and thus drive user adoption in this segment of the market.

  • YokoYoko says: If you travel, consider buying your Macbook Pro outside of Japan (unless you want/need the Japanese keyboard)
Apple has always seemed to be a bit slower than other companies to adjust for currency rate fluctuations. At the moment, the MacBook Pro is considerably cheaper in the States, and in fact if you were to buy the machine I have highlighted here, you'd have half of your air ticket paid for ...

That's not helpful if you want/need the Japanese keyboard, but many Japanese I know who have experience of it, prefer the American/European layout. As for the OS, of course you know you can choose on set-up ...
